Applicants spend a lot of time sending out cover letters and resumes, many of which end up in the black hole. Finally, you get a call for an interview and have a foot in the door. Most candidates will read over their application and associated job description and perhaps research the company before attending the interview. The good news is that based on your application the company thinks that you could be a good fit. Now you have to convince them. Like any skill, if you have not interviewed in a while you may be a little rusty and not sell yourself effectively.
Interview practice is vital to ensure that you highlight your skills and accomplishments through specific examples, ask the right questions, demonstrate your enthusiasm for the company and position and to make sure that this role is a good fit for you.
One company I like is My Interview Practice which will allow you to practice an interview tailored by Industry and Job Title. Costs are low at $39.95 for 3 months or $19.95 per month. It's worth it! They also do a nice job at sending interview advice and tips to help you prepare.
Check them out at My Interview Practice.
Career Path International is not affiliated with this company but we like their approach.
